We accomplish this mission by selling affordable, gently used books and audio-visual materials donated by the public at The Book Corner, The New Friends of the Beaverton City Library’s used book store. Proceeds from these sales, our online store at Amazon, and other fundraising efforts are given to the Main Beaverton City Library and the Murray-Scholls Branch Library each year. We also help fulfill the Beaverton City Library’s “Wish List”, which has included e-readers, Blu-ray movies, computers and printers, children’s room furniture, a wide variety of books, shelving, staff training, and a directional kiosk. In addition, NFBCL funding supports programs such as The Art of the Story Festival and Everybody Reads.
